September 2024 saw the company reach its 7th birthday!

In February, we celebrated Liam working with AVENT MedTech for two years!

As we have become established in our new Logistics Centre, Liam continues to ensure our logistics processes flow smoothly and effectively, while building outstanding relationships with all of our customers and partners.

Our CEO, Jon AVENT has been awarded the status of Chartered Fellow by the prestigious Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.

Jon said: 'This is the highest level attainable and it is wonderful to be recognised for my work in the industry. AVENT Global is renowned for its continuous learning, adopting new techniques and mentoring so our partnership with the Institute is perfectly aligned.'

In January, we welcomed Holly to the AVENT MedTech team.

Holly helps facilitate the smooth running of our Quality Assurance and Control systems.  She has excellent IT, communication and organisations skills, making her another perfect fit for our team.  Holly will also be supporting our existing and new customers with any enquiries they may have.

2022 has been another busy year!

Following an annual audit we are proud to announce that we have partnered with (TAG) Carbon Neutral Britain to measure and offset our carbon footprint, and have been Certified as a Carbon Neutral Business once again.

This week, AVENT MedTech is delighted to celebrate five years in business!

CEO, Jon Avent said "I would like to share my heartfelt thanks to all of our clients and partners (commercial and clinical) over the past five years. Together, we have survived world pandemics along with challenging political and economic events!

We have also helped advance human health through the improved adoption and supply of medical devices and software. As an organisation, we have overcome many hurdles, but the company-owned Global Logistics Centre in Liverpool, UK is a great foundation for the future. We continue to provide flexible start/ stop contracts to help companies get traction in the UK and internationally”. 

This year our CEO has handed over the reins to Annaka (our MD) and Mike (our Ops Director) to drive new business and meet our existing global networks.

They had a very busy, but very successful, few days, meeting with companies who need the following assistance:

- market entry to the UK via our commercial teams

- logistics and import/export solutions to grow their UK base.

 Lucem Health launched Lucem Health Innovation Collaborative, a partner program designed to help digital health innovators create, deploy and market transformational solutions based on AI technology and machine learning models. 

Our CEO Jon Avent, said: “It is very exciting to be a founding member of this globally, impactful partnership.  We have already introduced two new collaborators and seen their immediate progress.”   

Artificial intelligence models are powered by data, and health data is often isolated and difficult to access. That’s why Lucem created Health Innovation Collaborative to establish a business collaboration between AI developers and digital health innovators.

With a passion for new technology, innovation and lifelong learning, Annaka has made the exciting move from management in the education sector to working at AVENT MedTech. Utilising her skills and knowledge relating to leading people and managing processes and data, she will expand our strategic business relationships. 

Annaka's role is essential to the management of our team. As Managing Director, she is responsible for planning, resourcing and implementation of employee training across all areas of our business, developing staff performance and organisational success, whilst also establishing our internal policies and procedures. She will be supporting our medical marketing and sales team with our varied campaigns and communications, facilitating business growth and developing relationships with our healthcare customers to enhance our 3PL offering.

After four years of successful commercial growth, AVENT MedTech has invested in a permanent location and warehouse facilities.

The AVENT MedTech team have worked hard to ensure continuity of our commercial and 3PL service - and even welcomed some new customers for our order fulfilment services.

AVENT MedTech has won a commercialisation project for a falls prevention technology which is a Lancaster University research 'spin-out'.

The AVENT MedTech sales team will be working with existing teams to engage with clinical and operational teams, across the NHS and private healthcare provider landscape, to deploy the technology and prevent patients falling out of bed.

The team at AVENT MedTech have been commissioned by one of Enterprise Ireland's clients to undertake a market access research project - essentially a business case with evidence to justify investment in to UK market for medical software.

AVENT MedTech has won a major contract with a regulatory affairs and market access company to provide global exhibition management and support. The contract involves pre-exhibition contact with potential customers and then provision of virtual or physical presence at the events to help the company's team capture all opportunities.

AVENT MedTech secures another important contract for a European company considering whether to enter the UK market. 

CEO Jon Avent said: 'We love these education days and have had great feedback previously - they really help companies start to focus on whether the UK is right for them and next steps.'

 Some of the AVENT MedTech team completed a very challenging 40km (26 mile) trek in the Brecon Beacons in just 9 hours! It involved all sorts of terrain and the team carried 30Kg rucksacks as an extra challenge. 

The trek was to support research in to Alzheimer's Disease which is linked to our passion around a project on dementia with Head Diagnostics in Ireland. Well done everybody! 

Now that trade fairs are a thing of the past, several companies have asked AVENT MedTech to reach out to USA companies for various marketing purposes. 

Using our social media and research expertise and strategy planning, we helped get an average 12.2% positive response rate via LinkedIn leading to multiple sales demonstrations and opportunities.
